Located just steps from NYC’s Madison Square Garden, Midtown Manhattan’s legendary Mustang Harry’s has endured as NYC’s go-to Irish sports bar and gastropub for more than two decades, serving an elevated menu of American classics, handcrafted cocktails, craft beers, and 150+ whiskeys and fine spirits from around the globe.

This lively two-floor mainstay captained by brothers Ian and Niall Conroy of County Tipperary, Ireland boasts a sweeping 99-foot main floor bar—the longest of any sports bar in NYC—in a charming post-industrial setting decked with tufted leather banquets, dozens of HDTVs, and premium surround sound for the ultimate sports-viewing experience.

  • 5 star ratingBest Chicken sandwhich I've ever had and to top it all off phenomenal service from a lovely Irish girl named Rachael from Tipp. Would recommend. Only leaving 5 stars cause I can't leave 10.

  • 5 star ratingThis is the greatest service I've probably ever experienced. Me and my comedy group, SlapNuts Comedy, were pregaming before our show and the bartenders couldn't be more friendly. We then organized for a space on the second floor after our show because we expected a bunch of friends and audience to join us. Approximately 40 people or so we told them. They made sure to have 2 bartenders on hand, to direct our guests upstairs, they even kept the kitchen open an extra hour. I was floored by how kind and hospitable everyone is at Mustang Harry's. Niall, if you read this, you and your crew are all gems.

I can't wait to come back because their disco fries are something I am not ashamed to eat by myself as a meal. My husband always tries a bar's fried chicken sandwich and theirs had him finish his plate clean!

  • 5 star ratingThis restaurant is our favorite restaurant near Penn Station and  Madison Garden.  Everything here is top notch. Especially the service. All the waitservice is courteous and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambience is casual and the food is outstanding. The selection is gourmet with choices for bar food and entrees. There are also daily specials. I love the menu because the chef made sure to include a vegan dish with farro  grain and vegetables which I really like. There  are other choices which are the usual vegetarian too like salads etc.   In addition the menu includes more standard fare like steak and seafood. Besides this the bartenders are experts at making delish cocktails and there is a full choice of alcholic drinks too, like beers and wines. This restaurant would be great for a date or to go to before an event at the Garden. Hope you go there soon.

  • 5 star ratingAwesome place. Came in here for dinner around 6:30 on the night of a Home rangers game. Was sat in a nice booth immediately and served so diligently and quickly. Food was awesome, try to Mac and cheese side! Great music. Extensive list of draft beers, something for anyone.

  • 5 star ratingWe stopped in here before the Eric Clapton concert.  It was pretty busy and the manager was clearly working his tail off.  I asked him about gluten free options and he said "we have salads."  That was good enough for me, I'm grateful when a restaurant accommodates me in any way.

We were seated, the place was packed.  They were playing Clapton!    I was seriously hangry and I didn't have high hopes....and then......

Enter Freddy, our waiter.  I told Freddy I was gluten free.  He said, "OK, no problem, what do you want to have?"   I ended up ordering a lamb lollipop appetizer and salmon with green pea risotto and mushrooms.   He (not GF) got the shepherd's pie.  Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked.  Freddy was obviously swamped with tables yet he managed to be super attentive, our food came out quickly and was nice and hot and every need was met.

    A word on the manager...

I bumped into him on the way to the ladies room.  As busy as he was, he apologized so cheerfully that he made me smile.  This kind of attitude clearly comes from the top.  Every staff member I met here was working like a dog yet managed to be polite and cheerful.

This will be my new pre concert dinner go to.
