My friends and I met at Mustang Harry’s and we were far from disappointed. Mustang Harry’s is geographically located just a short walk from New York City’s Madison Square Garden. This Irish gastropub and sports bar has been operating for more than twenty years under the management of two brothers, Niall and Ian Conroy.

I fell in love with this place from the first glance. The overall arrangement is superb; the services are to die for and at fair prices. Some of the delights served include American meat and seafood dishes, handcrafted cocktails, beer, and the best whiskey from every corner of the universe. The best thing about this place is the quietness you can find that lets you carry out your business peacefully without disturbances.

Great taste at Mustang Harry’s

After eating lunch and dinner at Mustang Harry’s, I wondered why it had been so long since I’d tasted food so good. The meals on the menu for lunch and dinner are made by a competent chef, and clearly, with love. The choices include Onion Soup Gratinee and Disco Fries with fresh mozzarella, short rib, and more.

I also spied different delicacies from the menu being served to other customers, including generous salads and sandwiches, entrees that smelled amazing as they passed by, and sides that appeared perfectly cooked. The menu selection is excellent; I could see everything clearly and understand the ingredients. This made it very easy for me to order my favorite meal. Mustang Harry’s menu sections include:

  • Brunch menu
  • Lunch and dinner menu
  • Beer, wine and spirit menu
  • and coming soon…Breakfast menu!

Seasonal changes on the menu

Savor a delightful unique creation every month, because there are so many to choose from, and the menu specials change with the seasons. One thing that remains the same is the Happy Hour, which can be most “happily observed” between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. daily. There are specials to celebrate one’s fondness of beer and spirits if it’s possible to choose from a selection of 20 plus draft labels. Perhaps the immense whiskey cabinet is more to one’s liking or even wines from around the world. Ask the friendly bartender to whip up a house special cocktail or pour a favorite Bourbon neat; you can’t miss with either.

You can also add on two-hours of unlimited Mimosa, Bloody Mary, Screwdriver or Champagne pleasure for an additional $25 during the weekend bottomless brunch on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Enjoy vast sport entertainment

Being a sports fan, this was just a perfect place for me. Mustang Harry’s has been designed to take one “into a sports arena.” It is the best sports bar in New York with the most extended main floor and easily gives its guests the comfort deserved. To help you really enjoy an immersive experience, Mustang Harry’s has installed leather seats, enough HDTVs, and a surround sound system to give you the best sports viewing environment possible.

Simple and easy reservation

Unlike other restaurants where your seating takes forever, or the restaurant takes reservations on a paper list, Mustang Harry’s has gone the extra mile and features a simple online reservation booking process for guests. This is perfect for those willing to watch games at the bar or those who prefer to enjoy delicacies in a cozy booth upstairs.

At Mustang Harry’s, lunch near Penn Station is convenient and the fun begins every day at 11a.m. and concludes at 3 a.m. The kitchen closes at midnight on Monday through Saturday, but on Sundays, it closes a little earlier, at 10:30 p.m.

Enjoy a quiet and peaceful environment

Being so close to Madison Square Garden, Mustang Harry’s can often get packed with people coming and going from the various sports games, concerts, and events being held only blocks away.  However, from my visit, it was clearly a spacious restaurant that had the right balance of barstools, booths, and even some cozy tables tucked away in quiet corners, making it possible to enjoy a comfortable meal within such an active and exciting place. Mustang Harry’s is a favorite restaurant for many locals, sports lovers, couples, concert goers, and workers who enjoy lunch near Penn Station.

Enjoy a delightful private event

I have never enjoyed a great private event with total hospitality. But at Mustang Harry’s, the lunch near Penn Station I enjoyed was provided with a smile and tons of confidence. I knew the order would be delivered as ordered right from the very start, and it was. I am not picky, but I am not the easiest diner, either. The staff here catered to my every request and was prompt with every service. I would expect the same level of service whether dining individually or as a large function in one of their large private dining areas. With two renovated floors featuring 7,500 sq.ft of flexible event space, it is something they do all the time. The floorplan includes multiple downstairs and upstairs dining lounges, cozy coves and nooks, two full premium bars decked with dozen of HDTVs, and tufted leather banquets. The post-industrial artifacts capturing the charisma of old NYC with an authentic twist of Dublin are noticed everywhere.

Mustang Harry’s offer special event packages for up to 299 guests for huge corporate events to holiday parties, cocktail parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, and many other events. The restaurant and sports bar is located at 352 7th Avenue, very close to Penn Station. I also had a chance to view some attractions like Herald Square and the Empire State Building after my visit.

Make the best choice today and book a reservation for a meal or special occasion at Mustang Harry’s restaurant. Whether it is for a tasty dinner, brunch or lunch near Penn Station, at Mustang Harry’s, you won’t be disappointed.
